About Rodent Dumbo

In 2018 I was working in the tourism industry, where I wasn't allowed to keep dogs or cats so I got my very first rat named Princess Biscuit she was an Agouti Hooded Dumbo. I was always told that rats are disgusting creatures and never should be kept as a pets yet I was pleasantly surprised by both the intelligence and loyalty of a pet rat.

I made it my personal mission to change the world's mind about rats and thus created Rodent Dumbo.

In 2020 we decided to start breeding rabbits, I am really fond of the large and giant rabbits and found myself being an avid supporter of the SA Phendula breed.

In 2021 we decided to start breeding Boschvelder chickens and Muscovy ducks and 2022 we added a pair of geese and hoping to grow my flocks big in the future

We're really small in scale but big in passion and our animals mean the world to us. we're registered rabbit breeders, belonging to The Gauteng Rabbit Breeder Association and The Rabbit Workshop and The Cape Rabbit Club
